Pastor: Central Christian Church Central Christian Church is seeking a new pastor whose vision and faith will guide us into the future and play an active role in the community. Central Christian Church is located in West Central Iowa in the town of Carroll. Central Christian is a Christ-Centered, Bible-Based, Family-Oriented fellowship of believers with the goal of growing God's Kingdom. We are guided by these core beliefs: • Jesus is Lord and Savior • Biblical Authority • The Lost Matter • Personal Holiness • The Power of Prayer • Building a Family of Faith The Pastor will provide spiritual and pastoral leadership to the membership of Central Christian Church. They will serve as a leader and visionary for the congregation and demonstrate a passion in Jesus so that it might fulfill its mission and purpose as the body of Christ. The Pastor will preach, teach, and administer The Word and give leadership in the ministries of Worship, Administration, Stewardship, and Outreach. The Pastor is an integral member of the Leadership Team and serves under their supervision. Responsibilities: • Regularly preach and teach the Word of God and administer to the congregation. • Plan and lead worship in conjunction with the leadership and other heads of ministry. • Develop leadership within the congregation (Ephesians 4) • Officiate as necessary at special services such as weddings, funerals, and community events. • Work with the minister of music to develop and maintain a music program for all ages and to integrate music into worship and other areas of the congregation. Administration: • Oversee the administration and management of all areas of the congregation's ministry in consultation with the Leadership. • Support and assist the Ministries and their volunteers who have primary responsibility in their ministries. • Support, supervise, manage and evaluate the review of congregation members in regards to participation of ministries of the church. Stewardship: • Work with the Leadership and congregation to promote, educate, and advocate responsible biblical stewardship in the congregation. • Assist the Leadership with financial matters of the congregation. • Oversee and promote congregational benevolence and mission as the needs arise. Outreach: • Work with the designated ministries which reach out to the lost, inactives and new residents of our community. • Direct the assimilation of new members into the life of the congregation in conjunction with the boards, committees and organizations of the congregation. • To encourage all organizations and ministries of the church to carry out their work with an emphasis on welcoming others to participate in the mission work of Christ. The position of requires great flexibility in hours available for work, including evenings and weekends. The pastor will also allow time for accessibility to members of the congregation and for regular communication with members of the church staff.
