Overview: New Community Church (NCC) is a 30-50 member non-denominational ministry in the San Fernando Valley consisting mostly of singles and young families. NCC began in the late '90s as the English ministry of an established Korean Church and in 2005, became an independent church. We are seeking a Senior Pastor to help fulfill our mission to be a Christ-centered, biblical, and loving church that makes disciples and strengthens families to impact their communities for God’s glory. Position Responsibilities •Teaching - Preach and teach the word of God with diligent planning and preparation in order to strengthen and motivate the congregation to remain true to the faith. •Leadership - Model the Lordship of Jesus Christ and provide direction to fulfill the mission of the church. •Outreach - Further the Gospel through evangelism and missions at home and abroad. •Administration - Manage and oversee deacons and volunteers for the overall health and growth of the church and its mission. •Member Care - Provide counseling and guidance with patience and careful instruction. Administer the sacraments. Position Requirements •The Senior Pastor shall meet the New Testament requirements for office as listed in 1 Tim 3:1-7, and Tit. 1:6-9. He shall adhere to NCC’s Statement of Beliefs as listed on NCC’s website at http://www.beablessing.org •A Masters of Divinity degree from an accredited seminary or Bible college is required. •A minimum of five years experience in a pastoral position is preferred.
