Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Supervisor.)
 Weekly in-class teaching of the College Access Services curriculum.
 Prepare for off-site service delivery weekly (classroom materials, /lesson plans, classroom activities, supplies, etc.)
 Meet with students individually to review academic records and provide assistance with academic planning and decision-making.
 Perform ongoing research on pressing educational issues and best practices as it relates to the established curriculum.
 Communicate regularly with teachers and administrators regarding program needs and program activities to ensure efficient on-site operation of the program.
 Recommend modifications to existing curriculum/program materials and create instructional activities in collaboration with the College Access Services team.
 Develop and maintain short-term and long-term programs and projects on a year-round basis.
 Initiate student outreach with contact by telephone and individualized meetings to ensure the individual needs of students are met, and to encourage regular participation in program activities and opportunities.
 Work with Program Events staff to schedule local field trips, including college trips.
 Participate in on-going professional development trainings.
 Be familiar with and informed about all policies and concerns related to Community College, UC and CSU admissions.
 Be familiar with and informed about all policies and concerns related to federal and state financial aid.
 Have basic knowledge of L.A.U.S.D. structure, policies and procedures.
 Collect and validate student related data on an ongoing basis, in addition to submitting reports regularly as identified by the Director.
