Spiritual: • Profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. • Trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the development of the ministry. • Models standards and expectations of staff members at Ward including worship attendance at Ward, group participation, lifestyle of tithing and generosity, and faithfully serving out of giftedness. Education and Experience: • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree. • Experience in a large church setting. • Has been a part of a groups-based system. Skills Required to Succeed: • Compelling Communication – Needs the ability to deliver teaching and vision to large audiences as well as small. • Entrepreneurship – Needs to start and launch a small groups’ ministry in an established church. • Systems Development – Needs to develop a system that can assimilate hundreds of people to meaningful connection opportunities. • Recruiting and Training – Needs to recruit, train, and mentor group leaders as well as coaches of leaders. • Curriculum Development – Must be able to identify curriculum as well as design and implement seasonal church-wide campaigns. • Missional Enthusiast – Must help groups retain a missional and service focus. • Story Telling – Must have a track record in collecting, sharing, and celebrating small groups stories of life change with the larger church family. • Taste for Ambiguity – Must have an openness to the creativing of the Holy Spirit and the ability to thrive in new territory.
