Spiritual: Profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit in the development of the ministry. Models standards and expectations of staff members at Ward including worship attendance at Ward, group participation, lifestyle of tithing and generosity, and faithfully serving out of giftedness. Education and Experience: Minimum of Bachelors Degree. Experience in a large church setting. Has been a part of a groups-based system. Skills Required to Succeed: Compelling Communication Needs the ability to deliver teaching and vision to large audiences as well as small. Entrepreneurship Needs to start and launch a small groups ministry in an established church. Systems Development Needs to develop a system that can assimilate hundreds of people to meaningful connection opportunities. Recruiting and Training Needs to recruit, train, and mentor group leaders as well as coaches of leaders. Curriculum Development Must be able to identify curriculum as well as design and implement seasonal church-wide campaigns. Missional Enthusiast Must help groups retain a missional and service focus. Story Telling Must have a track record in collecting, sharing, and celebrating small groups stories of life change with the larger church family. Taste for Ambiguity Must have an openness to the creativing of the Holy Spirit and the ability to thrive in new territory.
