| Job Description: |
Houseparenting and Mentoring are very demanding, yet very rewarding. We are very intentional about engaging the students with the gospel, daily. We emphasize respect for authority, with everyone being under God's word. Our staff and student handbooks are very helpful in learning day to day life on the Ranch. We do not use corporal punishment on the students since 1. these are not our children 2. many of them have been physically abused (sexually abused as well). A lot of the discipline is bathed in prayer, confronting students with Scripture, getting at heart issues, and giving out "consequences" (mostly losing certain privileges). The students at the Ranch have to want to be here. If they persist with defiant behavior or decide to leave, they will be sent away. We deal with a very real spiritual battle here. The enemy wants to destroy this place and take the souls of the students with him to hell. We know that God alone can save by the message of the gospel, so we preach it boldly.
