Woodbury/Peaceful Grove United Methodist Church is a two campus church. This position: Has the responsibility of creating a vision for the Ministry to Families with Children, in concert with the vision, strategic goals, and objective of the overall church. Works closely with other ministry staff in planning, implementing and ministering to families with children. Is responsible for budgets, and supervision of volunteer group leaders at WPGUMC. Nurtures and disciples the families of Nursery and Elementary age children (0-5th Grade). Includes pastoral care in faith development of these families, Sunday school, weekday, Wednesday evening and summer programming. A strong and supportive Ministry Board is in place along with committed families to assist the Minister, who reports to the Senior Pastor. This person should lead by example, and cultivate a positive spirit throughout the church community. They should represent the church well in the community at large. They should be a team player and follow the biblical model of servant leadership. In all of their actions, they should be positive and supportive of the Core Values and the Vision of the church – Sharing the Joy, Living the Faith, Being the Hope.
